What you'll learn
- check_circle Create a Shortcuts automation triggered by Apple Pay
- check_circle Connect it to RemindPay so payments log automatically
- check_circle Confirm the automation is logging correctly
Open the Shortcuts app
The Shortcuts app is built into iOS. Search for it in Spotlight if you can not find it on your Home Screen.
Go to the Automation tab
Tap Automation at the bottom of the screen. This is where you create triggers that run automatically.
Tap + to create a new automation
The plus button opens a list of triggers you can automate. Scroll through to find the Wallet option.
Select Wallet as the trigger
Choose your card and set Run Immediately so the log happens without a confirmation prompt every time you pay.
Tap Next, then search for Bills Keeper
Search for Bills Keeper in the action library and select "Log Apple Pay Payment" as the action to run after each payment.
Tap Done
Every Apple Pay purchase now logs automatically in RemindPay. Make a test payment to confirm it appears in your bill list.
Use categories in RemindPay to tag your Apple Pay logs (Groceries, Dining, Transport) so your reports stay organised and easy to read.
